Annual review
The Finnish Meteorological Institute no longer publishes a conventional annual report. We will describe the work we do in a review that comes out twice a year in finnish and once a year in english.

Economy
The Institute's total expenses in 2009 were 61,7 million EUR. These expenses were balanced as follows:
- basic funding from the budget 40,0 million EUR (65%)
- income 19,4 million EUR (31%)
- external funding 2,3 million EUR (4%)
The total revenue from commercial activities was 12,4 million EUR. Research activities produced a revenue of 6,7 million EUR.
